Chatsworth House

18 Dec

Chatsworth House in Derbyshire has been featured in Joe Wright’s 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice as Mr Darcy’s home Pemberley and in the 2008 film, also starring Keira Knightley, The Duchess.

I visited it last year on a fine summer’s day and was thrilled to find it was even more majestic in person.

The famous Cascade Fountain can be spotted in the background of one of the scenes between Mr Darcy and Elizabeth.

The grounds are stunning, but the interiors are also worth a visit – although I don’t have any photos of them so you’ll have to take my word for it!

You can find out more about Chatsworth House here and here.
